EZM is a Gold Coast based store built around a simple idea: find good products, from good brands, that make life more interesting.

That could mean recovery gear for getting further off-road, a tool you’ll own for the next twenty years, something that improves your workshop, a piece of tech you use every day, equipment for the water, a better way to cook, something for the car, or simply an object that’s been exceptionally well designed.

We don’t think everything needs to fit neatly into one lifestyle.

If it’s useful, interesting, well made and makes you want to actually do something, we’re interested.

Buy good gear. Use it properly.

There is already enough disposable stuff in the world.

We’d rather find products that earn their place. Things you use often, keep for years and eventually have a few stories attached to them.

Where possible, we look for products that are well engineered, repairable, properly supported and designed for a long service life.

Some are incredibly practical. Some are probably unnecessary but ridiculously good fun. The best ones tend to be a bit of both.

Buy once. Use it. Take it somewhere interesting.

Build something. Drive somewhere. Learn a new skill. Take the long way home. Start a project. Get on the water. Fix something yourself. Go somewhere you haven’t been before.

EZM isn’t trying to become an endless online catalogue.

We’d rather stock fewer things and have a reason for every one of them.

A product might solve a problem exceptionally well. It might be beautifully engineered. It might last longer than everything else. It could come from a small company doing something genuinely clever. Or it might simply be the kind of thing that makes you think, that’s cool, I want to use that.

If we can’t explain why something deserves to be here, it probably doesn’t.

EZM started on the Gold Coast, Australia, but the idea was never to build a store around one place, activity or type of person.

We want to discover great products, work with interesting brands and take them out into the real world.

That’s also why photography, video and storytelling are a big part of what we’re building. Products are more interesting when you can see where they came from, why someone designed them and what they’re capable of outside a product listing.

EZM is ultimately about the things that help you go somewhere, make something, try something or experience something worth remembering.

Because the goal isn’t to own more stuff.

It’s to have more stories.
